Safety measures and Installation instructions for Crystal Industrial’s Retractable Injection Quills from India

Crystal Industrial’s Retractable Injection Quills from India

Crystal Industrial’s Model 6000 Injection/Sampling Tube Assemblies from India give a retractable method for chemical insertion or process liquid sampling at pressures up to 1500 PSI/10.3 MPa and temperatures up to +500º F/+260º C. Instillation of the tube can be altered to allow chemical insertion and sampling at accurately the desired point inside the process liquid. Standardized lengths are accessible in 18, 24, 30, and 36 inches. The 1/4″ female NPT on the process side of the injection tube permits you to place a quill or select from different nozzle designs to fulfill your chemical injection necessities.

With precaution, administrators can evacuate and penetrate alloy solution tubes produced using Hastelloy C, Alloy 20, Titanium, or Stainless Steel for review or substitution purposes, while the main stays in service. No close down is required. Crystal Industrial’s 150 psi ranked retractable injection quills from India are for water mains where pressures don’t surpass 150 psi. A mechanical help might be needed for alloy solution tubes bigger than 1/2″.

Safety measures

Crystal Industrial’s Injection quills from India are made to convey a chemical solution feed inside a pressurized water or operative main. The below mentioned precautionary measures must be taken to assure appropriate and safe establishment:

  • Familiarise yourself with the parts of the injector as given beneath.
  • Decrease system pressures while withdrawing or penetrating the Solution Tube.
  • Check that the Crystal Industrial’s injector being established is compatible with the proposed chemical feed.
  • Assure that the Restraint Chain and Restraint Hook are safe when the injector is under pressure. Try not to depend on the Compression Gland to hold back the Solution Tube from withdrawing while in operation.
  • Don’t fix the Compression Gland very tightly. Fix just to the point where any leakage stops. Over fixing the gland can, after some time, cause harm to PVC/CPVC Solution Tubes and also the Compression O-ring.
Installation Instructions

Step 1: Remove the Solution Tube.
Relax the Packing Nut by turning anti-clockwise.

Withdraw the Solution Tube from the Primary Connection Assembly until the Limit Chain is totally expanded. Relax the Packing Nut increasingly if necessary.

Shut the valve of the Ball Valve. In the event that the valve does not close, assure that the Solution Tube has been withdrawn sufficiently far so that the tip of the tube is not blocking the valve from shutting.

With the valve shut, detach the (2) Limit Chains from the Threaded Connectors joined to the Upper Chain Plate and totally evacuate the Solution Tube.

Step 2: Install the Ball Valve
Caution: Do not utilize a pipe wrench to set up the ball valve.

Apply appropriate thread sealant to male threads of the Primary Connection thread and establish into the desired area.

Ensure that the Ball Valve is shut.

Step 3: Install the Solution Tube
Caution: For injectors not given a check valve, make a point to give an appropriate type of isolation to avoid reverse flow from the solution tube before opening the ball valve.

Embed the outlet end of the Solution Tube into the Packing Nut until the tip is obstructed by the shut valve face.

Attach the (2) Limit Chains to the Threaded Connectors and shut the jaw of the Threaded Connector.

Gradually OPEN the Ball Valve and start to slide the Solution Tube downward into the main. If water starts to spill past the Packing Nut, fasten until the leakage stops.

Continue penetrating the Solution Tube until the Upper Chain Plate is situated on the Restraint Bolts. Secure the Solution Tube into the working position by securing the Upper Chain Plate to the Restraint Bolts with the nuts given.
